  15. I was taking macro photos of thistle earlier this week and I actually like yours better! Plus, I am so jealous that you're on vacation in North Carolina. I love love love the beaches there. My favorite is Ocracoke.

  41. Really nice job Sandy. But a thistle on the pier? Seriously? On our piers we have shops and seagulls and fish and fishermen. But sadly, not a lot of wild plants.

    Beautiful thistle. That bright blue sky with just a wisp of cloud makes a great backdrop.

    I was on my knees alongside our country road today taking a similar type photo, and a man stopped to see if I needed help. I did. I needed him to step aside and take his shadow with him, but of course that isn't how I answered! The world is too short on kindness to be flippant about receiving it.
