There were plenty of poodles and terriers taking their constitutionals around Sherwood Isle State Park in Westport, Connecticut, on Sunday before the storm. The sun shone through the clouds--weakly--while promised snowstorms loomed on the horizon.

  2. I like particularly the sea picture. Too bad for Sky Watch : )

The sight at the seaside is changing at each minutes. I like the waves rolling on the sand, again and again. I could stay for a long time watching without tiring.

  3. Before you know it, that tree will be full of leaves and a lush green.

  4. Love the bubbling sea-fountain. You captured the details.

  5. Sea waves are always enchanting. I like the picture of the tree too: a nice and well composed silhouette.

A sky, a tree and a wave : basic ingredients for happiness.

  10. NIce cropping of the tree. I love the negative space created by the limbs.

    ReplyDelete
  11. That tree speaks volumes, as does the cold gray-green of the surf. A forbidding kind of beauty, that.

    ReplyDelete
  12. They are both great shots! Happy SWF!

    ReplyDelete
  13. The tree is as beautiful naked as it is fully clothed in all the greenery. I love bare trees with grey cloud background.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Any relation to Sherwood Forest in the UK? The bare branched tree is so striking and you can never have enough surf.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Love your tree and wave, great shots.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lovely captures, both.
    Happye weekend, Sandy!

  19. Great tree contras, Sandy. And the water is so familiar; I can hear the small pebbles being pulled in and out.

  20. We had the "pleasure" of enjoying that mentioned snowstorm. I'm ready for warmer weather. Enjoy the weekend.

  30. I love the bold starkness of the tree against that slate gray sky. The waves are curling pretty good, must have been because of the storms approach.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I hope everyone brought their doggie clean-up equipment. '~) It won't be long and you can show us that soulful looking tree in full bloom! Happy SWF!
