So divinely is the world organized that every one of us,
in our place and time, is in balance with everything else.

  1. That's too much responsibility for me. If I trip and fall it could set off a whole chain reaction.

  7. Strong photo! The quote is difficult to understand in this unstable world of ours nowadays, but then Goethe was fortunate enough to find that balance in his life. Thanks to find this quotation and share it!

  8. I do believe that everything in the Universe is constantly seeking balance, so I see balance more as a destination... Some days, the destination is farther off than others! That doesn't mean we can't enjoy the scenery along our journey!

  10. I like rock cairns. My little stack of rocks are piled in a corner right now. I don't know where to place them. I love looking at them all stacked up neatly. It makes me feel like all is right in the world, at least in one tiny spot.

  11. Good representation! God is a God of order, not chaos. You explain it beautifully, as always.

  13. your photo reminds me of a beautiful book Stones for Ibarra by Harriet Doerr, in which the people of a small Mexican village always left a pile of carefully placed stones to mark the location of an accident. (It was also a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie in 1988 with Glenn Close and Keith Carradine).
