Wordless Wednesday: White Horses Running

topsail

This was a morning that came with a big surf on Topsail Island. Still, this lone bird and I showed up--he for breakfast, and me for the time of day. Those waves were big and loud. It's a wonderful thing to hear nothing but the surf and to be pulled into it because it will have you. A lovely surrender.

  6. Your photo looks like a painting and the light, the colors are breathtaking and, of course, I love the bird! I can understand why you love Topsail and I'd give anything to visit there. As for the woman -- well, I hope she doesn't lose any of the little ones! Hope your day has gone well, Sandy!

  14. I've never been to Top Sail but we've been to South Padre Island a bunch of times. The pounding surf is wonderful. Especially when you have it to yourself.

  22. Those look like some decent waves. I like the straight lines of the pier set against the curves of the ocean.

  23. Beautiful!!! Love the title as it reminds me of a Guinness add, where the waves of a surf turn into white running horses.;)
