Skywatch Friday: A Fire Burns

From Jun 27, 2011

This photo was an experiment in shooting through a screen.  The experiment consumed more time than taking the screen out would have.  Of course.  So there's a graph-paper effect sitting on top of this last lingering look at daylight one early summer day.  (It's the End of the Land.)

  3. Sometimes it's just more fun to work around an obstacle than to remove it. Lovely shot, Sandy. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I can barely see the screen - just the lovely glorious sun as it sets.

  5. I truly can't see the screen. . . I remember taking a photo of a rainbow through a screen and it definitely was visible. . . HOPE you are enjoying a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.

  6. If you didn't tell us, we will not know, it just looks like a matte finish or maybe some PS processing. I have been also taking the same scenes here for some mornings, but, without that wonderful "screen effect".

  7. Great job! I shoot through our dining room window screen to our bird feeders all the time - often gives a very nice glow.
