One Single Impression: Peace Get link Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email Other Apps By SandyCarlson - January 07, 2013 From January 5, 2013 Under the light At the other end of the couch, My daughter sleeps. At this end, Her dog and I share slices Of a smoked gouda Until I slide his bad Dachshund self Back under the fleece blanket, And he sleeps With his head resting on my thigh. He breathes in time with my daughter While I make these notes. Waves of heat emanate from the furnace And crash on the shores of their dreams As I watch and take notes. I have never been closer to peace. This is a warm place. I feel my own heart beat. If I don't sleep with my head resting at a certain angle on my way-over-priced-pillow I wake up with a krick in my neck. Thanks for sharing a part of your day and the love that went with it.ReplyDeleteRepliesReplyAmrit Sinha11:45 PMFull of love ... beautiful poem :-)ReplyDeleteRepliesReplydeeps3:04 AMthats a warm experiencea peaceful one...ReplyDeleteRepliesReplyLin Floyd3:42 AMwarm winter solitude!ReplyDeleteRepliesReplyHarshad Mehta4:40 AM"This is a warm place.I feel my own heart beat."To know this is so peaceful!ReplyDeleteRepliesReplyUnknown5:28 AMloved sharing this peaceful moment here with you!ReplyDeleteRepliesReplyLisa at Greenbow7:39 AMWhat a wonderful glimpse into your warm circle of love.
