Today's Flowers: An Early Breakfast

This moth was out for breakfast the other day when I was on my way back from the beach.   The sun was behind me, so the glare on my phone made knowing whether or not I had the shot impossible until later.  I was lucky this time!

  1. How lucky to get this beautiful shot of a butterfly on a datura. These lovely moon vines have been blooming in my garden lately too. I have never seen a butterfly on them though. I have seen moths sipping their nectar. White is difficult to shoot.

  5. You WERE lucky with the shot and the moth was lucky to find such a lovely restaurant!

Someone once told me that early morning is the best time to take butterfly/moth pictures because they haven't quite warmed up so they don't flit so quickly. I need to try to remember to try that..it worked for you!

  12. Thats a good capture. I just clip the old flowers off without seeing they have spiders in them. Never think to take a picture though lol
