Our World Tuesday: In the Forest
Adella and I took a walk White's Memorial in Litchfield, Connecticut, today. We brought our best friends. Picasa made a little collage of our photographic efforts:
They kept the bears away. It was a beautiful, chilly day that justified our fleece jackets. The walk felt great, and we took lots of pictures. Della used her DSLR, and I used my handy-dandy HTC with one hand while holding the leashes with the other.
We found our groove and eventually I was able to manage a shot or two. Della got to flex her camera muscle, and that was the point. Her pedometer ap clocked her at two hours of walking over three hours of hiking. She didn't think she spent all that much time taking photos. She didn't realize just how dedicated to her art she is!
Everything about the day was perfect.
Clyde, who would barely walk on Thursday and Friday, was in rare form. He loves to be the intrepid climber of rocks and trail blazer and protector of his girls--Della and Maeve--from chipmunks. Because you never know.
The dogs napped for the rest of the day. They didn't get up until they heard the cheese coming out of the fridge. They know what's important.
